SQRS returns the square root of an unbounded numeric expression for physical quantities that have a direction, so greater, less than or equal to zero
Syntax
SQRS(NumExpr)
Arguments
- NumExprs unbounded, so greater, less than or equal to zero.
- SQRS is important for physical quantities that have a direction (expressed by a + or - sign) and that are used quadratic in expressions.
- Please note that SQRS is not the same as SQRT():
SQRS(x) is equivalent to SGN(x)*SQRT( ABS(x))
Examples
SQRS(16)
returns
4
SQRS(-16)
returns
-4
