The complete process of tracing, managing, using and developing technical knowledge and its use within an organisation is called knowledge management. 

In other words, technical knowledge management consists of a number of aspects:

  1. data collection and management;
  2. parameter collection and management;
  3. relations (and tools) collection and management;
  4. reasoning with data, parameters and relations;
  5. interaction and use of all these aspects in a process;
