Values of a String parameter containing the @BINARY attribute contain a binary data object and the name of the object (file name).

Besides the use for computed values (such as an Excel sheet), you can provide manual binary input by selecting the parameter in the knowledge browser and using the relevant options in the right mouse button menu (see also QuaestorInterface).

If you use expressions with the EXCEL# and WINWORD$ function and your left term parameter contains the @BINARY attribute, the resulting document will be stored as binary in the parameter instead of the file name.
