Quaestor can be set to back-up your project and knowledge base files. Moreover, the latest Quaestor version (later than 2.46.x) is also able to store the backup with a time stamp, making it possible to restore versions of your files.

Back-ups of knowledge bases are stored in the a Backup folder in the default Knowledge base folder. 
Back-ups of projects are stored in a Backup folder underneath the current project folder (so in case of a project for a knowledge base EXAMPLE, in \Projects\_EXAMPLE\Backup). For the default file structure, see also the Quaestor directory structure.

All backup files are stored in a logic filename with the following syntax:

For knowledge bases: Qbackup_<knowledgebase filename>_<time stamp>.qkb 
For project files: Qbackup_<project filename>_<time stamp>.qpf

Please note that Quaestor will not remove any back-ups. Therefore, please check the back-up folders once in a while. An easy way is to search on all files containing Qbackup_
