Thank you for your interest in this MARIN product. This installation guide provides help in getting the MARIN product installed and operational.

You can start using your MARIN product by following the following steps

Installation

Before starting the installation make sure your computer fulfills the prerequisite.

If you received the product on DVD, this DVD contains the following directories:

The DVD contains PDF versions of the Installation Guidelines, the Installation of the MARIN License Manager and the MARIN Product Activation. 

Start the installation by executing the 'setup.exe'. 

Installation of all these products requires local administrator rights.

The next step in the installation is activating your product.

Product activation

MARIN software is protected with a license. To be able to use a MARIN product, a valid license must be used. MARIN has upgraded their licensing product and now uses two licensing models, online licensing (trusted storage-based) and offline licensing (certificate-based). The advantage of online licensing is that you do not have to wait for a license file from the Marin support department and that you can activate the Marin product directly. 

If you received an activationID together with your product or in an e-mail, you can continue to activate your product using the online licensing (trusted storage-based) 

If you did not receive an activationID together with your product, you need to follow the offline licensing (certificate-based) guide.

For installation of a floating (or server) license you need to install and configure the FlexNET Publisher License server and the MARIN specific license daemon. See: Installing MARIN license manager
