This menu option enables you to encrypt a knowledge base. See Knowledge base protection for further details.

Please realise that you should NOT lose the encryption key. When you lose this key Qnowledge will not be able to help you (reverse engineering is NOT possible). Clearly this is the thoughest protection possible. Users can only open or use the knowledge base when they have the correct encryption key. On opening or the knowledge base you will first be requested for the key before you can continue (either with a project or with the knowledge base itself).
