Thank you for your interest in this MARIN product. This installation guide provides help in getting the MARIN product installed and operational.

To start using your MARIN product first the following steps have to be followed.

Installation

Before starting the installation make sure your computer fulfills the prerequisite.

If you received the product on DVD, this DVD contains the following directories:

• Marin Product Activation: This directory contains the installer for the Marin Product Activation program for online product license management. This Product Activation program must be installed and used if your received an activation ID (trusted storage-based licensing) in order to activate the Marin Software Product.
• Marin License Manager: This directory contains the installer for the Marin License Manager. This license manager is needed to provide floating product licenses. You need to install this license manager if you have purchased floating license (certificated-based licensing) for the Marin product. Most common is that the Marin License Manager is installed on a server system. The product is installed on a client system.  
• Activation Services: This directory is needed in case you need to manually install the Windows anchoring service utilities. These anchoring service utitlies are normally installed during the installation of the Marin Product Activation program.

The DVD contains PDF versions of the Installation Guidelines, the Installation of the Marin License Manager and the Marin Product Activation. 

Start the installation by executing the 'setup.exe'. 

The next step in the installation is activating your product.

Product activation

MARIN software is protected with a license. To be able to use a MARIN product, a valid license must be used. MARIN has upgraded their licensing product and now uses two licensing models, online licensing (trusted storage-based) and offline licensing (certificate-based).

If you received an activationID together with your product, you can continue to activate your product using the online licensing(trusted storage-based) 

If you did not receive an activationID together with your product, you need to follow the offline licensing(certificate-based) guide.
